Privacy Policy

HipiZipi is a coloring app for children. We designed it so there is nothing to worry about: HipiZipi collects no personal information from anyone — child or adult. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no data ever leaves the device.

1. Information we collect

None. HipiZipi does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. We do not ask for a name, email address, birthdate, phone number, location, photos-as-identity, or contacts. There is no registration and there are no user accounts.

2. No advertising, analytics, or tracking

• The app contains no third-party advertising and shows no ads of any kind.
• The app contains no third-party analytics, attribution, or tracking software.
• The app contains no third-party SDKs whatsoever. It is built only with Apple’s own frameworks.
• The app does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or any cross-app or cross-site tracking.

3. Everything stays on your device

All artwork, saved drawings, and settings are stored locally on your device. HipiZipi has no servers and no cloud sync. The app functions fully offline and, outside of Apple’s own subscription system, contains no networking code — nothing “phones home.”

4. Photo import

HipiZipi lets a grown-up turn a picture into a coloring page. This feature is protected by a parental gate. When used:

• The image is chosen by a parent through Apple’s system photo picker, which runs outside the app. HipiZipi never receives access to your photo library — only the single image a parent selects.
• The selected image is converted to black-and-white line art entirely on your device.
• Imported images are stored and displayed locally only. They are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere.

5. Purchases

HipiZipi offers an optional subscription, “HipiZipi Unlimited.” All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store and are protected by a parental gate plus Apple’s own authentication. Apple processes payment information under Apple’s terms and privacy policy; we never receive your payment details or any personal information from these transactions. The app only reads your subscription status on-device to unlock content.

6. Children’s privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K & the UK Children’s Code)

HipiZipi is designed for the App Store Kids Category and is rated 4+. Because the app collects no personal information from children (or anyone), there is nothing to provide notice about, obtain verifiable parental consent for, or delete under the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation and its children’s provisions (GDPR / GDPR-K), or the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children’s Code). We do not knowingly collect data from children because we do not collect data from anyone.

“Personal information” under these laws is broad — it includes persistent identifiers such as device IDs and advertising identifiers, precise location, and photos or audio of a child. HipiZipi collects none of these: it uses no advertising identifiers, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, and no location services. The best interests of the child guided the app’s design: it is private by default, works offline, and shows no ads, links out, or profiling of any kind.

7. California & U.S. state privacy (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never have. As those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), HipiZipi does not sell or share personal information, does not use it for targeted or behavioral advertising, and does not build profiles of you or your child. Because we collect nothing and sell nothing, there is no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” action to take — but if you have a privacy question or request, contact us on our support page and we will respond.

8. Notice for international users

HipiZipi is offered worldwide. Because the app processes no personal data and has no servers, there is no cross-border transfer, storage, or processing of your information — everything stays on your own device, wherever you are. If you are in the EU or UK and have a data-protection question, you may contact us on our support page; UK residents also have the right to raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

9. Data retention & deletion

Since all data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. Deleting the HipiZipi app removes all of its data — your child’s artwork, imported pictures, and all app settings — from your device. There is nothing stored elsewhere for us to retain or delete.

10. Data security

Your data stays within your device’s own protected app storage, secured by iOS. Because we never transmit or store your data on any server, it is never exposed to the risks of transmission or remote storage.

11. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how HipiZipi handles data, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. If a future version of the app were to introduce any data collection, we would update this policy and Apple’s privacy label before that version ships.
