Privacy Policy

HipiZipi is a coloring app for children. The HipiZipi app does not collect personal information from children or adults. It has no ads, analytics, tracking, or accounts, and children’s artwork never leaves the device. This policy separately explains the information a grown-up may choose to provide through our website support form.

1. Information the app collects

None. The HipiZipi app does not collect, store, transmit, or share personal information. It does not ask for a name, email address, birthdate, phone number, location, photos-as-identity, or contacts. There is no registration and there are no user accounts.

2. No advertising, analytics, or tracking

• The app contains no third-party advertising and shows no ads of any kind.
• The app contains no third-party analytics, attribution, or tracking software.
• The app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, social, or tracking SDKs. It uses platform-native components and the official Apple or Google store billing system only.
• The app does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or any cross-app or cross-site tracking.

3. Everything stays on your device

All artwork, saved drawings, and settings are stored locally on your device. HipiZipi has no servers and no cloud sync. Creative features function fully offline. The only network-capable component in the app is the official Apple App Store or Google Play subscription system; HipiZipi sends no artwork, imports, identifiers, or analytics to the developer.

4. Photo import

HipiZipi lets a grown-up turn a picture into a coloring page. This feature is protected by a parental gate. When used:

• The image is chosen by a parent through the device’s Apple or Android system picker. HipiZipi never receives broad access to your photo library or files — only the single image a parent selects.
• The selected image is converted to black-and-white line art entirely on your device.
• Imported images are stored and displayed locally only. They are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere.

5. Purchases

HipiZipi offers an optional subscription, “HipiZipi Unlimited.” Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play and are protected by a parental gate plus the store’s own authentication. Apple or Google processes payment information under its terms and privacy policy; we never receive your payment details or personal information from these transactions. The app reads and keeps only the on-device entitlement state needed to unlock content and support offline use.

6. Grown-up support website

The support form on this website is for grown-ups only. If a grown-up chooses to use it, we receive the name, email address, and message they enter so we can respond. We do not use support messages for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell them.

Cloudflare hosts the website and provides the Turnstile anti-abuse check. It may process standard request and security information, such as an IP address, browser or device information, traffic data, and security signals. Resend and the recipient email provider process the contact details and message solely to deliver and store the support email. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Support messages are kept in our support inbox only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. A grown-up may ask us to delete a support message through the same support page.

7. Children’s privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K & the UK Children’s Code)

HipiZipi is designed for children and families. It is in Apple’s Kids Category with a 4+ rating and is intended for Google Play age groups 5 and under and 6–8. The app does not collect personal information from children, so it does not create a child profile or transmit child data for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose. The separate website support form is clearly designated for grown-ups; we do not knowingly solicit or collect support submissions from children. If we learn that a child submitted personal information through the form, a parent or guardian can contact us and we will delete it.

“Personal information” under these laws is broad — it includes persistent identifiers such as device IDs and advertising identifiers, precise location, and photos or audio of a child. HipiZipi collects none of these: it uses no advertising identifiers, analytics, advertising SDKs, or location services. The best interests of the child guided the app’s design: it is private by default, works offline, and shows no ads, links out, or profiling of any kind.

8. California & U.S. state privacy

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not build profiles of you or your child. The app collects no personal information. The only personal information we receive directly is what a grown-up voluntarily enters in the separate support form, as described above. 9. Notice for international users

HipiZipi is offered worldwide. App data stays on the device and is not transferred by us across borders. If a grown-up sends a support message, the website and email providers may process it in the United States or other countries where they operate. If you are in the EU or UK and have a data-protection question or wish to exercise an applicable right, contact us on our support page; you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Data retention & deletion

App data lives only on your device. Deleting the HipiZipi app removes its locally stored artwork, imported pictures, and settings from the device. Support messages submitted by a grown-up are handled and retained as described in Section 6, and a deletion request may be made through the support page.

11. Data security

App data stays within the device’s protected app storage, secured by iOS or Android, and the app does not transmit it. Website support messages are transmitted over HTTPS and handled by our hosting, anti-abuse, and email providers. No method of Internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

12. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how HipiZipi handles data, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. If a future version of the app were to introduce any data collection, we would update this policy and the applicable Apple and Google store privacy disclosures before that version ships.
